Facilities Integration is a UK based consultancy with many years of experience in design-led project development.
Facilities Integration and its work partners provide a process linked new facility/retrofit design resource for initiation and implementation of science-based industry projects. From our architect base we draw in like-minded professional, similarly experienced, work partners to provide cohesive project teams working as an extension of our clients’ teams in early project development
Rob Bowen leads Facilities Integration, a consultancy specialising in masterplanning, concept design and design development. He is a practicing Architect with considerable experience in the design of complex specialist facilities from research and development, CT and API through biopharmaceutical manufacture to oral solid dose, fill/finish and warehousing.
Prior to founding Facilities Integration in 2009, he was a principal architect with EPCMV contractors AMEC Projects and Fluor Manufacturing and Life Sciences in the UK. Rob’s overall design portfolio includes laboratories and manufacturing facilities from GSK’s R+D laboratories at Rixensart, Belgium to OSD and bio manufacturing, specialist fill finish and packaging facilities in the Far East, Gulf, US, UK and Europe.
Rob is a RIBA member and a past Research Fellow of the University of Warwick responsible for the advanced facility design for the Innovate UK (then the TSB) funded OSD continuous processing study that achieved the 2012 UK IChemE Projects and Outstanding Achievement Awards. As an ISPE member, he is on UK and global committees. Rob has written several articles on advanced facility design and the integration of new processes as well as on sustainability for the pharmaceutical industry including leading the ISPE Handbook: Sustainability team.
